Today I started work on planning the project that involves adding Foley sound effects to 3 short video clips. I found some really great clips that could benefit from adding sound such as Buster Keatons "Three ages" or Harold Lloyd's "Safety Last". I also found a scene from the 2918 film The Predator that I wanted to make my own sounds for. I learnt that for sounds like horse's hooves you can bash rocks on sand or gravel to be able to distinguish different terrain. In addition to this I found that hitting metal wires with other metal objects creates a futuristic sound that could work well with the scene in The Predator for an alien laser cannon.
