For my 2021 Summer Project I had a variety of tasks that I had to undertake involving photography, animation and film. In my sketch book I displayed all of my photography work with appropriate titles. With each Photography task I took photos practising filling the format, lighting and visual empowerment. I put select photos into photoshop so that I could change the colours and brightness.
As another task for my summer project I had to create human-animal hybrids in a certain media. To do this I went on Photoshop and merged an image of a human with an image of an animal to create a hybrid. To achieve the desired effect as seen below I had to use multiple layers of the bear image and use a blend mode to merge the human features onto the bear. When making the person with the Yak head I masked out a photo of a Yak and placed it over the mans head. To make it look more realistic I used the curves tool to get a similar lighting with the two images. The final image I created combined the wings of a bald eagle with a woman watching the sun set on a beach. I really liked how this one turned out as it has an angel like aesthetic. Using the colour blend option made it look as if the suns light was seeping through the wings.
The final part I did for my summer project was to make a short horror film. A separate post can be found on my blog which allows you see the work I did for this task.
