So that I could plan out the scenes I wanted in my film I created a storyboard. I designed my film so that it had a linear narrative and all the scenes work in sequence. I want to covey the two key themes of isolation and solitude in my film so I made sure that this storyboard reflects this. Some of the scenes I sketched were heavily influenced by modern horror movies and fast-paced filming.
To experiment with the order of my scenes I took a photocopy of my storyboard, cut the scenes up and recreated the film in a non-linear narrative. I found this technique quite effective as it allowed me see my story in a different perspective.
