Planning for Final Motion Poster

Updated: Nov 16, 2020

Now I have had enough experience working with After Effects and photoshop I am ready to start planning my final motion poster. It will be on protesting against animal cruelty; the subject that I have particularly focused on throughout this propaganda project. Using kinetic typography will allow my poster to have an intriguing aesthetic and I have decided that the opacity and size tools on After Effects are the most effective for this.

Looking at more animal cruelty posters I have noticed that red is a re-occurring colour, used to represent animal blood sustained from abuse. Given how this colour symbolises so much I may use it in my poster. Furthermore the posters above have bold lettering that provokes an emotional reaction from the reader causing them to become more interested in the subject. For my final motion poster I have come up with some engaging phrases that protest against the horrific subject. Below are some phrases that I may use on my poster:

  • Raise Your Voice For The Voiceless

  • Protect Those Who Cannot Protect Themselves

  • You Must Be Insane To Leave An Animal In Pain

  • What Is There To Gain From Causing Pain

  • Free The Animals From The Cage Of Cruelty

  • Don't Neglect Them, Protect Them

The aim of my motion poster is to make people aware of the grim nature of animal abuse and to get them to contribute in the fight to stop it.
