To improve our knowledge of photography we had a workshop in the studio at UCA. I learnt a lot more about how to use a Canon camera efficiently and what settings are best for different scenarios. So that I had full control of the camera I set it to manual mode. To get the correct aperture and shutter speed I used a light meter to record the light shining onto our models' cheek. Once I had these values I could check that the ISO was correct. I took photos of our model in portrait to see the full effect of these settings. Below are some photos that I took from the workshop.
For future reference I took down a list of notes of important settings and techniques to use when taking photos.
